Privacy & analytics
BATIQ is a free native compositor. The website works without analytics, advertising, or personalization.
Optional analytics
Only after you choose “Accept analytics,” BATIQ loads Google Analytics 4. It may receive a limited page visit, basic engagement, download interaction, and showcase play events, along with the device and browser details and referrer that Google normally processes for those requests. See Google’s privacy policy.
BATIQ sends a page location containing only the site origin and pathname. Query strings, form contents, and personal fields are excluded. No ads or advertising personalization signals are enabled.
Videos from YouTube
The 3D Set tutorial is hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press its play button; then the video plays from youtube-nocookie.com under Google’s privacy policy.
Your choice
Analytics are denied by default. Choose “Privacy & analytics” at the bottom of a BATIQ page to reopen the choice. Choosing “No thanks” clears BATIQ’s Google Analytics cookies where possible. The feature requests forum uses its existing separate API and is not covered by these optional analytics events.
For questions about this page, contact BATIQ through the public links on the home page.
Feature board email updates
The feature request board does not require an account. Giving an email address is optional and is the only personal data the board collects.
- What we collect: the email address you type into the request or comment form, and nothing else.
- Why: solely to notify you of replies on the one thread you gave it on. It is never used for marketing, newsletters or announcements.
- Confirmation: we send one confirmation email. Until you click the link in it, we send nothing else, ever.
- Sharing: never sold, never shared. Your address is not shown on the board and never appears in another subscriber's email.
- Retention and removal: every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing deletes your address; we keep only a one-way hash of it so the opt-out can be honoured if the address is submitted again.
Bug reports and feedback from the app
BATIQ sends nothing on its own. A report leaves your computer only when you press Send in Help → Report a Bug or Send Feedback, or in the offer that follows a crash. The window shows everything that will be sent first.
- What is sent: what you type, your email if you give one, and,
only if you leave them ticked, your system details (BATIQ version, operating
system, graphics card, memory, colour setup) and the app's recent log. Your
home folder appears as
~. Projects and images are never sent. - Why: solely to find and fix problems, and to reply if you asked for one.
- Where it goes: reports are kept privately by the BATIQ developer and are never published, sold or shared.
- Spam protection: batiq.app keeps a one-way hash of the sending network address for one day, to limit how many reports arrive.
